Scam message warning

“Your bank account has a fraud problem.”

Some fraud alerts are real. Scammers copy them. The safe response is the same either way: stop the message and contact the bank through a channel you already trust.

We stopped a suspicious purchase. Click [link], move your money to a safe account, or read us the security code we just sent.

What a scammer wants

  • Your online-bank password or one-time code.
  • A transfer that you approve yourself.
  • Remote access to your phone or computer.
  • Your card number through a copied bank page.

What to do

  1. Do not use the link or continue the call.
  2. Open the bank app yourself or call the number printed on your card.
  3. Say, “I received a possible fraud message. Please check my account.”
  4. Never move money to a “safe account.”
