Remove your information from Intelius, TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate & US Search
Intelius, TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate & US Search publishes paid background reports built from the same database: addresses, phones, relatives, court and public records. Here is how to take your listing down yourself — free, in about 10 minutes.
Time: about 10 minutes · Difficulty: Easy — one process covers four sites
All four brands are run by one company (PeopleConnect), so a single suppression request covers Intelius, TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and US Search at once.
The steps
- Go to suppression.peopleconnect.us.
- Enter your email and click the verification link they send.
- Find the record that matches you and choose to suppress it.
- The suppression applies across all of the company’s people-search brands.

The honest part
Removal from Intelius, TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate & US Search is real, but it is not always forever. These companies buy fresh data feeds, and listings can quietly reappear months later — often after you move, change numbers, or a new public record is filed. Put a note in your calendar to re-check in about three months. And your information is not just here: most Hoosiers appear on a dozen or more of these sites at once, so work through the full list.
The guide is free. Human casework is optional.
Thirty-plus sites can mean hours of look-ups, forms, and confirmation emails, and listings can return. You can do all of that yourself with the free guides. If you want the wider exposure picture researched and prioritized, Kelsie’s Basic Exposure Search is $39; ongoing monitoring and hands-on work are available after the case file.
